The booklet reflects the content of the temporary exhibition “Silent Women. Untold Stories” produced by the Narvik War and Peace Centre in 2015 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII.

These stories are more than just an account of four women who lived in the Northern Norway during WWII, but should be seen in connection with Norway’s and Europe’s war and occupation history. They are stories about ordinary people with extraordinary destinies, and about their place and role in historicals events.
